Amelkis Marrakech

Amelkis is Marrakech's golf neighborhood. Built around a golf course, the community draws buyers who want green space, quiet streets, and a secure environment. Not everyone who lives here plays golf, but everyone benefits from the open views and low density that a golf course provides.

The Appeal

Here’s what people like about it:

The course is well-maintained and popular with residents and visitors. If you play, you have a golf course at your doorstep. If you don’t, you still get the greenery, the wide-open views, and the buffer zone that keeps neighbors at a comfortable distance.

Security and Community

The community is gated with 24-hour security. Streets are quiet. Kids play outside. It feels safe and relaxed in a way that’s genuinely hard to find in a city of Marrakech’s size.

Views

Many properties face either the golf course or the Atlas Mountains. Some get both. Morning coffee with a mountain panorama isn’t a selling point here. It’s just Tuesday.

Property Options

Amelkis offers a range:

  • Golf-front villas with 4 to 6 bedrooms, pools, and direct course views.
  • Detached family villas inside the gated perimeter, with gardens and terraces.
  • Apartments and duplexes in low-rise buildings.

The design style is contemporary Moroccan: natural stone, clean lines, and living areas that open onto the outdoors. Most properties are well-built and well-maintained, which reflects the community’s management standards.

Mature Landscape

What sets Amelkis apart from some other gated communities in Marrakech is the maturity of the development. Trees have grown in. Gardens are established. The landscape feels settled, not freshly planted. That takes time, and it shows.

Pricing and Returns

Amelkis sits between the ultra-premium Palmeraie and more accessible neighborhoods like Targa. You pay more than Targa for the golf course, security, and community infrastructure. You pay less than the Palmeraie because plots are smaller and the address doesn’t carry the same historical cachet.

Rental demand comes mainly from families and golf visitors looking for stays of a week or more. Shorter tourist stays are less common here than in Hivernage or the Palmeraie, but medium-term lets perform well. European golfers who come to Morocco for the winter months are a reliable tenant base.

FAQ

Facility & Property Management in Marrakech

Do I need to play golf to live in Amelkis?

No. Many residents chose Amelkis for the security, green space, and quiet rather than the sport. The golf course just happens to be a very nice reason for all of those things to exist.

Generally more accessible on a per-square-meter basis. Premium golf-front villas can approach Palmeraie-level pricing, but the average property in Amelkis costs less. Strong value for the quality of environment.

It’s on the eastern side of Marrakech. About 15 to 20 minutes to Gueliz, 20 to 25 minutes to the Medina. Not as central as Hivernage, but still an easy drive.

Larger villas work well as medium- to long-term rentals, especially for families and visiting golfers. Originn can manage the rental operation for you.
